New Learning Center

We are excited to release our new Textile Design Lab Learning Center! Please explore our new feature in this quick video created by Michelle:

New Design Challenge: Meander

The theme for this month’s challenge is very sinuous, winding line work. By including flowers and motifs from nature, this theme can be interpreted in a very Art Nouveau-inspired way, or it could just be lines and more of an abstract pattern.

We’ve broken down this theme into three directions, which can be used alone or in combination to inspire your pattern collection: Art Nouveau, Knotted, and Winding Roads. Everyone who completes their collection by the deadline has the option to be included on our Chelsea’s Challenge Pinterest board and will be considered for a feature highlighting student work on the Pattern Observer blog. Members can get involved here.
