Group-Study: Ultimate Guide to Repeats

With more and more agents and studios requiring repeats, it’s become increasingly important to learn how to create higher quality repeats in less time.

In the Ultimate Guide To Repeats Group Study you’ll have access to a toolbox of techniques that you can use to create more interesting, professional repeats that agents, studios and clients are looking for in today’s market.

Emails are sent every Monday and Thursday, giving you three days to watch the video and complete the exercises. This group-study is designed to keep you motivated and feeling supported as you master repeats!

This event is FREE for all Textile Design Lab members and the first lesson will be released on Monday, July 15th. It’s not too late to join! Members can register here.

Upcoming Presentation: Laura Coyle

We are thrilled to announce that Laura Coyle will be joining the Textile Design Lab community for a monthly live webinar event for Illustrator users! Her first live event is set for next Tuesday, July 16th at noon EDT.

“I am planning to use the first part of the hour to talk about how I use the Width Tool and variable Width Profiles in my work. After that, I’d love to take questions. If you have anything you’ve been wondering about or need some info on, please respond to this post. Some questions I can answer off the top of my head, but some might require a little more thought on my end, so it would be nice to know in advance how I can be of help.”

Laura has spent nearly 20 years as a freelance illustrator and is also an amazing Adobe Illustrator instructor (she runs illustratoring.com, check it out). Laura will be sharing her expertise in a free webinar for all Textile Design Lab members on July 16th at noon EDT.

Upcoming Presentation: Stephanie Ryan

As part of our TDL Summer of Creativity, we are excited to welcome Stephanie Ryan to the Textile Design Lab for a private presentation, Creating a Brand Story. Stephanie will share how to “take the elements that make you unique and turn them into your own one-of-a-kind brand that is authentically true to you.”

Stephanie Ryan creates art that touches the heart and inspires the creative spirit. Her soothing, soulful, intuitive paintings are inspired by nature and the feelings that bind her to it, creating an introspective mood that connects the viewer with her art. It is visual poetry—beautiful colors with touches of light and inspired thoughts.

Stephanie’s presentation is next Monday, July 22nd at 3pm EDT. A link will be sent out on Monday morning.

Weekly Art Critiques. Please join the TDL community on  THURSDAY at 1 PM Eastern for a live art critique. Our art critiques are fun events where Lab members come together to review artwork and ask questions about pattern design, marketing and sales. A registration link will be emailed the morning of the critique and will also be posted in our Weekly Art Critique forum. Textile Design Lab members can watch past critiques here.
